Fall is in full swing now. It’s the season for warmer clothes, school starting up again, and most importantly, pumpkins! Even if kids don’t always enjoy the scary parts of Halloween, everyone loves a good pumpkin. That’s why we’re inviting your kids to attend the Northwoods Children’s Museum’s very own Pumpkin Party!
On October 26, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, we will be hosting a Pumpkin Party for kids. This is the same day as Hallowfest downtown, but don’t let that stop you! Kids are encouraged to come in costume and play before OR after they attend Hallowfest.
We have a variety of pumpkin-themed activities for you and your kids to do during our Pumpkin Party. We’ve prepared materials for a pumpkin-themed craft so that your kids can create something special for the holiday while saving the actual process of carving a pumpkin for the family.
On top of that, we also have various pumpkin-themed games available for anybody. If you’re familiar with carnival games where you have to throw a ball to knock down some cups, we have a unique take on that. Instead of using a ball to knock the cups down, kids will blow up a pumpkin balloon and use the air expelled from it to knock down the cups. We’re also going to have a coloring activity, but there’s a twist - kids will be coloring inside the blacklight room, so they will have difficulty telling what colors they’re using!
Of course, what’s a Pumpkin Party without a good snack? We know you may not want your little ones too hyped up on sugar, especially with what they might get at Hallowfest, so we’ve prepared an acceptable substitute for kids to get on their way out: popcorn! Kids will be provided with a small treat bag to munch on as they see fit. It may not be pumpkin themed, but it’s still a tasty treat to help tide the kids over after a session of play.
If you’d like to attend, consider paying us a visit at the Northwoods Children’s Museum! Once again, the Pumpkin Party is October 26 from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and we will be open that day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Regular admission applies to your visit, but anything from the Pumpkin Party is provided at no additional charge. You can find more details here! We hope to see you there!
