NCM Closing at 3pm on Thursday May 8th

Attention Grown-Ups, it is your turn to play!

The Northwoods Children’s Museum invites the community to its first in person fundraiser in five years:

The Play-It-Forward Fundraiser takes place on Monday, June 9th from 6pm-9pm at the Riverstone Brewing Company!

Join us as we play with a purpose to raise funds for much needed building upgrades and future exhibit expansion. This fun event features delicious food, a cash bar, games, and an exciting silent auction, but space is limited!

The silent auction includes domestic and international vacations through our AmFund partnership, along with appealing items from local businesses. Vacation locations include Scotland, Greece, Portugal, and the Sedona Arizona Spa! All trips include airfare, 4-star accommodations, and options to add extra travelers or extend your trip. There is a 3-year window with NO blackout dates to go on your vacation!

Just a few additional highlights include an e-bike from Laketime Management, hotel stays from the Waters of Minocqua, Chanticleer Inn, Eagle River Inn, and a cordless drill kit from Waldmann Construction!

Tickets go on sale Monday, May 5th for $65 each. There are only 65 tickets available so call now! 715-479-4623.

The Northwoods Children’s Museum (NCM) is thrilled to be Eagle River’s 2024 Business of the Year! The Museum’s hard-working staff and dedicated Board of Directors are humbled by this recognition and would like to express our sincere thanks to the community for selecting us for this prestigious award.

As the only children’s museum in an 80-mile radius, the NCM is a vital and vibrant community resource. The goal of the Museum is to continue to grow to be able to serve families throughout the entire Northwoods. The Museum’s current Power of Play fundraising campaign will help ensure this vision is a reality. Currently only about 60% of the NCM building is actively being used as museum space. Through this fundraising campaign, NCM aims to raise the funds necessary to expand within our own building, creating more space for families to play, connect and learn. 2024 was a big year for the Museum with positive changes such as technology upgrades, an increase in marketing efforts and an increase in staff development. NCM’s 2025 plans are even bigger with fundraising, building upgrades, and developing more programming. The Power of Play and our supportive community is taking the Museum to great places.

What a great find! Our six-year-old loved it! Plenty of activities for kids of all ages with an educational value. He especially loved finding lost items under the snow platform and playing in the electric room. Highly recommend for those rainy days keeping you off the lakes.

Super super cool for kids (and adults) of all ages! They've got endless interactive things for kids to play with all at a really reasonable price. Good for a rainy day or that super-active kid that must do ALL THE THINGS.
